General English ESL Courses in Phoenix

Arizona Language Institute in Phoenix offers small, student-centered General English language classes for all levels of English proficiency - from complete beginners to advanced. The class size is limited to a maximum of 8 students.

Our General English classes are communicative based with an emphasis on developing speaking and listening skills. Students also learn grammar and structure and develop their reading and writing skills. The goal of our ESL classes is to make you comfortable using English in any situation you may encounter in everyday life.

Our outstanding teachers will provide you with the ability and confidence you need to face the world in English.

General English classes are offered at 5 levels:

• Low Beginners.
• High Beginners.
• Intermediate 1.
• Intermediate 2.
• Advanced.

We offer General English in small groups (3 - 8 students) with morning, afternoon, evening and Saturday classes and private one-to-one tuition with flexible schedules and intensity.

General English Group Courses

• Intensive and Intensive Plus Courses
  20 and 28 lessons a week, Monday through Friday. Classes start at 9:00 AM.
• Morning ESL Classes
  4 lessons a week, 2 days a week, 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM.
• Afrernoon ESL Classes
  4 lessons a week, 2 days a week, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM.
• Evening ESL Classes
  4 lessons a week, 2 days a week, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM.
• Sturday ESL Classes
  4 lessons a week, every Saturday, 9:00 AM - 12:15 PM or 12:30 PM - 3:45 PM.

If you decide to take group classes, you will be placed with students of your level and will study in a setting that is comfortable for adult learners. Students must take the placement test before the beginning of their classes. The duration of the placement test is 1 hour 20 minutes. You can take the test Monday through Thursday from 12 pm to 4:30 pm.

Private one-to-one General English courses with flexible schedules are available for adult students and children of all ages. Our private classes are designed for people who wish to learn English in the shortest possible period of time. You will be able to concentrate on personal objectives during the individual training. We highly recommend private classes for complete beginners and advanced students.

For international students visiting Arizona, we offer an exciting "English Outside the Classroom" program. You will learn Conversational English while visiting Phoenix and other parts of Arizona with your instructor. These classes outside the classroom offer first-hand experience as the most efficient way to receive cultural orientation and acquire general knowledge of English during the activities with your instructors.
